Saturday was a beautiful day, upper 60s at least and sunny, so we went for a short hike at Phoenix. It's supposed to be cooler and rainy this week. The weather forecasters are calling it a "winter storm" ....it's going to be mid 50s and rainy.... how will we ever manage?
We found a redwood that had been hollowed out on the side of a ravine.
Chris climbed down to check it out.
Phoenix lake is a reservoir and there's no swimming allowed, but we came across this little stream that Maggie had fun splashing around in.

We normally take a weekly picture against the dining room wall, but a redwood stump makes for a much more interesting background.
