We made sure to stop and visit George Washington along the way, a statue erected in 1900 after WWI. Legend has it that US soldiers stationed in Paris would steal his sword.
The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid monument in the world, we stayed firmly on the ground. The lines were way too long!
Just beyond the tower, is École Militaire, a military training complex.
We stopped to enjoy a brass quintet playing in the park on a beautiful day.
